Dual-SIM Lava Iris 450 Colour with swappable panels listed on official site


A new mid range Android smartphone has surfaced on the official website of the Indian smartphone maker Lava Mobiles. The smartphone dubbed Iris 450 Colour comes with swappable covers  in vivid colours.

The highlight of the smartphone are its swappable back panels available in red, white, brown and blue colours. The site also promises additional panels along with the smartphone. This should attract a lot of attention from the youth for whom their smartphone is a part of their style statement.

The Iris 450 Colour sports 4.5 inch IPS display with 480×854 pixels of resolution. The Iris 450 Colour runs on rather older Android 4.2 Jelly Bean out of the box.  Under its hood, the device is powered by a 1.3GHz dual-core processor coupled with 512 RAM. As far as the camera is concerned, this latest Lava Android smartphone boasts of a 5MP snapper at the back along with LED flash and a 0.3MP camera on the front.

The internal storage capacity of the phone has been listed as 4GB which can be expanded up to 32GB via microSD card slot. The connectivity options include 3G, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. Lastly, the company packs in a Li Ion 1800mAh battery that promises to deliver talk time of over 9 hours on 2G and around 8 hours on 3G.

As of now, there is no mention of the price or availability details of the Lava Iris 450 Colour. However, looking at its specs sheet, it comes across as an entry-level sub-Rs 10,000 device.
