Twitter users can now share multiple photos in one tweet
It seems Twitter has been making some quiet changes to how users can share photos on the site. The social media site has set up a new page which it has called the ultimate guide to sharing photos, which can be viewed here, explaining in detail what users can do with photos on the site.
Twitter’s guide shows off its new Photo-sharing ability for users, which allows users to edit photos by adding filters, share more than one photo in a tweet as well as tag friends in a photo.
The new feature allows users to share up to four photos in one single tweet. They can also edit photos once they have selected a final picture. Editing options include cropping, adding a filter, and tinkering with brightness.
Users can now also tag more than one person in a photo tweet, similar to how you tag friends on Facebook. The tweet will be displayed with the particular friends you chose to tag in the photo.
The guide also gives also points out that users can now share photos in Direct Messages on Twitter.
The idea seems to be that Twitter is more than just text and short links. However a lot of users might not be too keen to share photos on Twitter, and even tag their friends on it, given how cluttered the timeline can get within seconds.
Many might still prefer to stick to traditional photo sharing apps such as Instagram, or even Facebook where it’s much easier to organise photos into albums.
For many Twitter is still about having conversations with people who aren’t always their close friends, and that conversation is unlikely to involve photos.
