Samsung 4K TV price leaks for 2014
Samsung are sparing no expense with the array or luxury televisions they are bringing out this year, many are expensive high end models. We now have a good indication of how much the new Samsung 4K TVs will cost thanks to a list of price leaks for 2014.
Thanks to HD Guru, we now have some solid numbers to work with regarding Samsung’s new lineup of Ultra HD models. Each TV features Samsung’s unilateral pricing policy, so that dealers cannot sell the TVs too cheaply. We know every UPP for each model but the RRPs have been confirmed yet, naturally all prices are subject to change before release.
We will start with the HU8550 Series, coming in sizes of 50, 55, 60, 65 and 75 inches. The RRP is still to be confirmed but the UPP starts at $2499.99 and then rises with the TV size to $2999.99, $3499.99, $3999.99 and finally $5999.99. Specs include a 3840×2160 resolution, Ultra HD 2160p, flat screen LCD display, quad core processor, active 3D, built in Wi-Fi and web browser.
Moving on to the HU9000 series of 4K TVs, we have sizes of 55, 65 and 78 inches with respective UPPs of $3999.99, $4999.99 and $7999.99. These models are curved opposed to flat and feature the same features as the HU8550 models as well as HD Skype functionality with a built in camera, Smart Hub, screen mirroring, wide color enhancer, micro dimming and voice control.
These models will all reportedly go on sale in April, with Samsung’s UPP possibly also being the RRP if dealers want to get the ball rolling quickly. What is good is that we have some high end products here packed with strong hardware and features, with reasonable prices to match.
