The Sony Walkman NWZ-W270 has been designed to work in the swimming pool, ideal for all exercise aspects and being resistant to sweat. To highlight exactly how water friendly the MP3 player is against water, you need to buy it from vending machine bottled water, available in public places such as gyms rather than in retail stores.
Sony claim that their waterproof device is a world first at being able to deliver the performance that it does, with the motivation behind the product being its constant use underwater. The NWZ-W270 was actually launched over a year ago but according to The Next Web, Sony enlisted the help of ad agency DraftFCB to help market the device in this unique new way.

Purchasing your new MP3 player from inside a bottle of water, within a gym vending machine is certainly going to draw attention. The Sports Walkman starts at $79/£59 and features 4 GB of storage and 8 hours of battery life, you can also buy one from Sony if the stock in your local vending machine has run dry.
The device itself has a pretty unique design, the headphones and body are built into one, making it easy to wear underwater. It appears that MP3 player is in fact all about being able to enjoy your music in all conditions and there are no smart or mobile capabilities included, however it would be a good idea to watch this space now.
