HP launches its Slate Voice Tab series in India starting Rs.16,990

HP today launched its Slate 6 Voice Tab and Slate 7 Voice Tab in India. The two Slates are priced at Rs. 22,990 & Rs. 16,990 respectively. Both the tablets are Dual-SIM devices and can make voice calls over a cellular network and will be made available from the next week.
Going with the specifications, the Slate 6 Voice Tab has a 6-inch IPS display with a resolution of 1280×720 pixels and is powered by a Marvell PXA1088 Quad- Core processor clocked at 1.2 GHz coupled with a 1GB RAM and internal storage of 16GB which is further expandable. Additionally, the Slate 6 Voice Tab features a 5 megapixel rear and 2 megapixel front facing snapper. The device acquires its juice from a 3000 mAh battery embedded in the back.
The specifications of Slate 7 Voice Tab are no different from the Slate 6 except that the Slate 7 flaunts a 7-inch IPS display with a resolution of 1280×720 pixels and a 216 pixel density. The Slate 7 also has a bigger 4100 mAh battery.

The Slate 6 & Slate 7 both have Dual Stereo Speakers up front and Slate 6 also has a patterned back panel which makes them feel somewhat premium. The devices run Android 4.2.2 with some minor customizations by HP .
