Intex announces ‘Aqua i 5HD’ with 13 MP camera at 9990

Intex announced its next generation HD smartphone-Aqua i5HD in the sub-10k league in the Indian smartphone market. The phone boasts a 5.0″ HD OGS (one glass solution) display to offer an ultra realistic visual experience.

The back of the phone is home to a 13MP Auto Focus camera With flash light and front is equipped with a 5.0 MP camera with Geo tagging facility.

The smartphones operates on 4.2.2 Jelly Bean Android OS and runs a 1.3GHz quad core processor. The dual sim phone supports Bluetooth 4.0 and WI-Fi for connectivity.

The phone has dedicated 1 GM RAM & 4GB of inbuilt memory that is expandable up-to 32GB and is equipped with four sensors – Light Sensor, Magnetic Sensor, Proximity Sensor, G sensor.

Intex said that the latest phone offers smart camera applications such as capturing an image by saying “Cheese’ or “Capture” and will be a delight for users who love having fun while they take candid shots of their life’s favorite moments.

Commenting on the launch, Sanjay Kumar Kalirona, Business Head of the Mobile vertical at Intex said, “At Intex development centre, we constantly conduct surveys to study customer preference and usage patterns. We launched Aqua i5 HD at below 10k price tag for users who adore image quality and love seeing the virtual world come alive at a 5-inch OGS display screen”.

Available in two premium colors – White & Black and also with a free flip cover at a MOP of 9990 /-,the phone can be purchased from 40000 plus resellers, several hypermarkets and leading e-commerce portals across the country.

Last year, Intex sold 11.5 million handsets out of which, Smartphones contributed over 1.5 million. Intex has already launched 32 mid-segment smartphones under its Aqua range and has plans to launch around 8 more models during the next quarter
