Intex Aqua Octa smartphone launched in India
Indian Smartphone and computer peripherals maker, Intex, has added another feather to its hat by unveiling the first octa-core Smartphone in the market.
India, which is undeniably one of the biggest Smartphone markets in the world, has seen a surge in the number of Smartphone makers, catering to the niche Indian market. Intex, has unveiled the country’s first Octa-core Smartphone, dubbed Aqua Octa, on January 2, 2014.
Priced at Rs 19,999, the Aqua Octa is powered by a 1.7GHz octa-core MediaTek chip which ensures better video and gaming performance. The dual-SIM handset comes with a six-inch HD display and runs Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean.
Also on offer are two cameras, a 13MP primary camera and a 5MP secondary shooter for video calls. The Aqua Octa also includes 16GB onboard memory, 2GB RAM and 5GB cloud memory. Powering all these electronics is a 2300mAh battery.
The octa-core Aqua Octa is definitely the fastest 6-inch Android Smartphone ever to be launched in India. The device is available for online purchase at Snapdeal, while it will be available in 40,000 retail outlets, Intex Squares and other electronic stores from January 15.
